Doing the Humble Work

BLOGPOST_BoyInKofCWhelchair10152019.jpgDoing the humble work means, not only being willing to reach out in love, but it also means you have many others supporting the work. And so it is, with our Brother Knights in Anacortes. A big Shout Out to Grand Knight Michael Ptacek and the members of Fr. Treunet Council 3611 in Anacortes Washington for their donation of three new wheelchairs to the Washington State KC Help Program. These are wheelchairs from the Knights of Columbus National Global Wheelchair Program. They can be ordered in various sizes, but these three are kid’s size and greatly needed.

To quote St Teresa of Calcutta: “Let us touch the dying, the poor, the lonely and the unwanted according to the graces we have received and let us not be ashamed or slow to do the humble work.” We’re sure the lad in the picture is grateful for not having to be carried around by his Mom all day. We know the Mom is! They had no insurance for durable medical equipment, yet we were able to help.

Thank you Brothers from Fr. Treunet Council 3611 for your support. It’s kids like this that your gracious gift will touch.
